Character

Ritual Herbs Mild 10 g is the same recipe as the large pouch, only in a smaller quantity. Seven herbs, the same proportions, the same cut. What changes is the purpose of the pack. The 10 g pouch is the right choice if you are trying Mild for the first time or want to test both Ritual Herbs blends side by side without buying two large pouches straight away. The soft, restrained profile stays the same; only the packaging is meant for smaller needs.

People switching over tend to reach for the small size first. If you have been smoking tobacco, you rarely want a large supply of an unfamiliar blend sitting in the cupboard right away. Ten grams is enough to get to know the profile of Mild at your own pace, without much left over if it does not suit you. If the verdict is positive, moving to the 25 g pouch is possible at any time.

The seven herbs

The small pack contains the same seven plant components as the large pouch, fully declared on the bag:

  • Mullein leaves
  • Blackberry leaves
  • Lotus flower petals
  • Hollyhock leaves
  • Turmeric leaves
  • Liquorice root
  • Liquorice leaves

Where the herbs come from

The raw material base does not differ by pack size. The foundation is European stock, plus individual wild-collected lots from India, where we look for growth without fertiliser and without chemical treatment. Everything is cut, blended and checked in Germany, using processes worked on over several years. Whether 10 or 25 grams end up in the pouch changes nothing about that sequence.

Processing and burn

Ritual Herbs makes no distinction between pack sizes when it comes to the cut: fine enough to handle like rolling tobacco, coarse enough that nothing slips through the filter. In a small quantity an uneven batch shows up faster, because there is less material to even it out, so we check every batch for the same structure regardless of whether it goes into the 10 g or the 25 g pouch.

Small quantities dry out faster than large ones, simply because more surface area is exposed relative to the amount of material. That is exactly why this pouch is resealable too, and exactly why it should be pressed shut cleanly after every use, not just folded over loosely.

Use

The 10 g pouch suits anything you do not need a whole supply for: trying it out, taking it with you, or testing Mild and Mild Silver side by side before settling on a large pack. If you only reach for it occasionally – at weekends, say, or on particular occasions – the small size often works out better than a 25 g pouch that sits open in a drawer for months.

Mild 10 g handles just like the large pack: rolled by hand, stuffed with a machine, or mixed with hemp in the usual ratios between half and half and seventy to thirty. Smoked neat it shows the same soft character as the 25 g pouch, only in a quantity that gets used up before the blend loses its freshness.

If you are switching from tobacco to herbs for the first time, the difference is clearest on the first draw: the smoke feels lighter and the nicotine hit is missing. That is exactly what the small pack is for – it allows the adjustment without a big outlay. Thin cigarette paper helps as well, because it intrudes less on the taste of a mild blend than thick paper does.

Storage

Because the 10 g pack is usually empty sooner than the large one, storage matters less here, but the same rule applies: cool, dry, out of the sun, sealed firmly after every use. The fridge is unsuitable, because moisture settles on the material when you take it out. If the blend does dry out, a glass of water next to the closed pouch for a few hours is usually enough.

Frequently asked questions

No, it is exactly the same recipe, only in a smaller pack size.

Yes, that is the most common use for this size. One pouch is enough for roughly 12 to 20 cigarettes, depending on how you roll.

If you already know that Mild suits you, yes. Per gram the large pouch is around 45 per cent cheaper.

Yes, both blends are available individually as 10 g pouches, so both can be ordered and compared easily.

No. Smoke stays smoke; even without tobacco and nicotine, burning produces combustion products.

Yes, the small size is practical on the move as long as the pouch stays sealed cleanly. For longer periods the 25 g pouch is more economical.
